Dr. Laurence Dion - Chiropractor

Every single day our body keeps us alive and keeps us upright in gravity. My goal as a chiropractor is to create more ease. More ease in the body goes hand in hand with a regulated nervous system and better healing.

I have a particular interest in working with moms and babies. I believe we need to raise the standard of care for prenatal and postpartum mothers. This can be achieved through chiropractic care in the clinic, or rehab courses teaching women how to breathe properly, activate their deep core, and protect their pelvic floor. When it comes to little ones, the sooner we correct issues such as head shape concerns, latch issues, and torticollis, the more they thrive in their first year of development and beyond.

Dr. Laurence has successfully completed:

  • Pediatric Development: Connection Between Brain, Behaviour, and Body - with Dr. Jenna Davis 2024

  • Webster's Technique Training (2017) - with Dr. Chrystal Draper

  • Advanced Pediatric Bootcamp and Primitive Reflex Certification (2018)  with Dr. Jenna Davis

  •  Pediatric Intraoral Palate Specific Technique Training - P.I.P.S Technique (2017, 2019, 2024) - with Dr. Jenna Davis

  • Evaluation and Adjusting Protocols for the Pediatric Spine and Cranium - S.O.T (2018) - with Dr. Martin Rosen

  • Tonal Integrative Correction (2018) - with Dr. Jason Sabo

  • MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol - a Polyvagal approach to Chiropractic adjusting techniques (2023, 2024) - with Dr. Don MacDonald

Dr. Laurence’s story

During my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, I studied extensively in the areas of human biomechanics, nutrition, and pharmaceutical sciences. I realized that while I have an express interest in these domains, that independently, they don’t hold the key to how one should approach health. This insight started my journey to become a chiropractor.

Throughout the years, much of my time was spent working in a medical health centre. The experience I acquired working with infants, young children, seniors, individuals with acquired brain injuries, and late stage Alzheimer’s patients gave me great insight into how important health and wellness are to one’s quality of life. This truly made me appreciate the fortune of good health, and motivated me to enable people to pursue health goals. After gaining this experience working in the health care field, I also realized that it is not only about making sick people better, but about keeping healthy people well, two components that I believe chiropractic care offers.

In the summer of 2013, I started as a chiropractic student at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario. It was rewarding, as I had the opportunity to work in a number of chiropractic clinics in Toronto and surrounding cities. I was mentored and received chiropractic care from excellent practitioners, who used a variety of chiropractic techniques, which they passed on to me.

Since then, my hunger for keeping up with best practices and on-going education has never subsided! My passion as a chiropractor is two fold – the first is to help people manage health concerns and obtain appropriate care, and the second is to apply preventative medicine, to ensure that people, once enabled, stay healthy.

Testimonials for Dr. Laurence

Former skeptic here…. I used to only go for chiropractic treatment when I was in pain because of previous negative experiences. I’ve been consistently seeing Dr. Laurence for over 5 years now for monthly maintenance appointments, and I’ve been able to convince my husband to do the same. Not only does she keep me pain free, she treats my body, mind and soul. She is an exceptional practitioner, always providing education on stretches and exercises, and explaining what is going on with my body and how it affects other areas as well. She offers kind and caring advice, relieves my anxiety, and has changed my life and outlook for the better. You won’t find another like her, because she’s one in a million!

The ladies at the front are top notch as well. Very accommodating and experienced, always supporting the staff and patients along the way, with kindness and positivity!
